In order to improve the recruitment sector for domestic workers in Saudi Arabia, and as a result of studying international experiences, the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Development are opening the door to foreign investment in this sector. This step aims to increase competition in the field, which will in turn give more choice and a better-quality service to customers.

To help ensure the quality of services provided, the announcement indicates that foreign agencies must have no less than three years’ experience in the sector, in addition to an official website containing detailed information on the agency’s activity.
